This tour is a farm house based in Trapani area. You will walk discovering the Zingaro Natural Reserve with its unspoilted coves and wonderful panoramas on the sea first . Then another Natural Reserve, the one of Cofano’s then the open air archaeological area of Segesta, then the medieval village of Erice then Palermo with the many palaces and the hystorical centre. To end with Monreale, a little village with a wonderful Cathedral better known for its mosaics and its Benedectin Cloister.
Itinerary
1ST DAY: PALERMO - TRAPANI AREA
Arrival at the airport in Palermo and private transfer to Trapani area in a farm house with a swimming pool.
2ST DAY: ZINGARO NATURAL RESERVE (4 HOURS WALKING +500M -500M )
Your excursion will begin from the south income of the Zingaro Natural Reserve where a beautiful and suggestive walk will take us along the paths, with Mediterranean spot and charming groves. After many coves and wonderful panoramas, you will have the chance to have a bath.
3ST DAY: SEGESTA ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE – COOKING CLASS
Visit of the magnificent Archaeological area of Segesta in the morning. The Doric Temple and the Amphitheater deserves a visit. The amazing view from the Amphitheatre of the valley and the gulf will remain in your memories forever. Then Cooking Class.
4ST DAY: TRAPANI - ERICE
Today transfer to the nearby town of Trapani to discover the historical buildings, the churches of a town with a famous port; then Erice, the little medieval village on the top of a hill with its Castle dominating the surroundings. Walking around the narrow streets where you will have the chance to taste the delicious almond cakes.
5ST DAY: GROTTA MANGIAPANE AND MONTE COFANO (3 HOURS WALKING +350 M -350 M )
Today excursion to the “Cofano Natural Reserve”. Mount Cofano, high 659 m, is one cape that separate two gulfs, that one of Cofano and that one of Bonagia. One of the main characteristics of this excursion is the coves that we meet gradually along the path. Of particular relief it is the Mangiapane cove in Scurati where old tools and graffiti of the Paleolitic period had been found.
6ST DAY: PALERMO - MONREALE
Visit of Palermo and its historical center Piazza Marina, via Alloro and the Magione Church, the “Spasimo” and the “Kalsa”. We will continue towards Monreale with its Cathedral famous for its mosaics combining Arabic, byzantine and Norman style; chance to visit the famous Benedictine Cloister.
7ST DAY: SAN VITO - COUS COUS TASTING
Today transfer to the fishermen village of San Vito Lo Capo which lies on the most picturesque coastline of Sicily. Time at disposal to visit the enchanting village and relax on the beautiful white sand beach.
8ST DAY: DEPARTURE
Time at disposal to visit the town, then transfer to the airport in time for the flight.
